PHYSIOS-DO NOT ALLOW TRAINERS TO RIDE OVER YOU. PHYSIOS BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOUR TRAINER IS CLAIMING

A recent issue of Sports Injury Bulletin sparked controversy with an article stating that there is a crucial element missing from the physio profession’s basic training.
The language used in that bulletin is as follows:

Don't see a physio until you've read this message... There is something missing from your physio’s basic training that could affect you...
The article, written by Sean Fyfe (A PHYSIO), argues that physiotherapy and strength and conditioning go hand in hand. It is an integral part of the physiotherapist’s role to plan long-term rehabilitation and maintenance programs for acute and chronic injuries. When Sean does this part of his job he is constantly drawing upon his knowledge of strength and conditioning.
The doctors who know not many things about rehabilitation medicine are still guiding a rehabilitation program over many parts of world. In such situation if we (PHYSIOs) allow trainers to ride over us then just dooms day is nearby.
