Epidemiology of injuries in sports

Muscle strains are the most common injury type in sports injury practices. Contact-type injuries are most common during preseason games, and the number of significant injuries that occur during preseason games is high.
Interested Physiotherapists are referred to number of studies related to hip injuries in the NFL; upper limb injuries in competitive wrestlers; ocular injuries in college sports; rotator cuff contusions in professional football players; injury risk in women's professional basketball players; injuries in women's professional soccer players; magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of throwing shoulders in professional handball players; leg pain in running athletes; nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)-induced bleeding; gastrointestinal bleeding; Jones fractures in elite football players; injuries in minor league baseball players; acute elbow injuries in athletes; and knee injuries in female athletes.
