Extending manual therapy research into hip & knee OA- what is coming up.

Manual therapy is heart of physiotherapy practice to many physiotherapists all around the world. I am afraid to express not many evidence support is there in current literature especially in electronic databases. BUT I must admit that I do not have huge access to all manual therapy journals. Many physiotherapists are practicing according to different manual therapy schools but most utilize combined techniques that they know works well in patients.

I was going through PUBMED today when I saw two randomized clinical trials of physiotherapy in OA of hip and knee. Both of them have included manual therapy procedures in their research & also aim to evaluate the of manual therapy or effect of addition of manual therapy to the total physiotherapy regimen. The results are yet to come up.
