mobilization of thoracic spine to treat neck pain!

I have a personal experience of mobilization of thoracic spine reducing neck and back pain & dysfunctions. Being the intermediate area of the spine, thoracic spine influences the kinesis & postural attitude of the cervico-capital & lumbo-sacral area. I found a support to my line of thinking from a study by Cleland JA et al (2007). They studied “Short-term effects of thrust versus non-thrust mobilization/manipulation directed at the thoracic spine in patients with neck pain” through a RCT. The results suggested that thoracic spine thrust mobilization/manipulation results in significantly greater short-term reductions in pain and disability than does thoracic nonthrust mobilization/manipulation in people with neck pain.
