Experts recommend aerobic exercise, strength, flexibility, and balance exercises. Aerobic or endurance activities are good for heart, lungs, circulation, and muscles. Activities to choose from include walking, hiking, dancing, swimming, skating, cycling, and cross-country skiing. Simple walking is one of the best activities to stimulate circulation, improve the pumping of heart, and general better feeling. A more intense workout while walking is swing arms back and forth, lengthening the stride etc are called “pace walking”, or “power walking” by experts.
